A photo of Main Street in Biddeford, taken in 1909. The view is from the area of Alfred Street, looking up towards Washington and York Streets. A quiet moment on the cobbled street, with only a horse-drawn cart of what is apparently hay going about its business.
The decorations on the buildings were for the Merchants Carnival which was celebrated in town October 14-16 in 1909.
